In the Season 4 premiere, Ross decides to break up with Bonnie to get back together with Rachel, who writes him a letter. However, Ross falls asleep while reading the 18-page letter in the early hours of dawn, but his desire to get back with Rachel is such that the next morning he lies to her about reading it. Upon realizing the letter had stated that Rachel is willing to reconcile with Ross only on condition he accepts full responsibility for their previous break-up, Ross balks....
